ERC20

ERC20 is the token standard of the Ethereum blockchain and the original reference for fungible tokens across the industry. Thousands of tokens, including USDT, USDC and DAI, exist as ERC20 tokens on Ethereum.

For a route screener, ERC20 transfers usually carry higher network fees (gas) than TRON or BNB Chain, especially during congestion. USDT-ERC20 is a different on-chain asset from USDT-TRC20 or USDT-BEP20: the address formats overlap with other EVM chains but the network must still match. Sending ERC20 USDT to an address on a non-EVM chain such as TRON loses the funds.
