BEP20

BEP20 is the token standard on BNB Smart Chain (formerly Binance Smart Chain). It is EVM-compatible, so it shares the same address format as Ethereum, but it runs on a separate network with significantly lower fees and faster blocks.

For a route screener, USDT-BEP20 is a distinct asset from USDT-ERC20 and USDT-TRC20. Although a BEP20 and an ERC20 address look identical (both are EVM addresses starting with 0x), the network selector must match: sending BEP20 tokens to a counterparty expecting ERC20 on Ethereum, or to a non-EVM chain, can result in lost or stuck funds. Always confirm the network, not just the address.
